Mission
Enabling boundaries breaking growth in personal leadership.
Vision
I see coaching and training as a purposeful journey of discovery and awareness, where I inspire, support, and challenge individuals. This process leads to:
- Gaining insights, awareness, and personal development
- Enhancing self-confidence, personal effectiveness, and the ability to connect with oneself and others
- Exploring, developing, and effectively applying one’s potential in both work and personal life, aligning the mind, heart, and gut.
Core Values
My core values reflect what truly matters to me. They serve as a compass guiding my choices and approach to life and work.
- Appreciation: For yourself, others, relationships, and what you’ve experienced, learned, and achieved. *Aprezo* comes from Esperanto and means “appreciation.”
- Growth/Development: Lifelong growth and learning, gaining wisdom from every experience. I view every moment as an opportunity to learn and grow, which is why I invest annually in my own development.
- Compassion: Feeling for yourself and others with understanding and without judgment. This word contains two elements: “compass” to guide my approach and “passion” for people, their growth, and their connection with themselves and others.
- Integrity: Walk the talk, do as promised. Living according to my values, being reliable and acting accordingly. Acting honestly and fair and go for the win-win (also business wise).
- Positivity: Focusing on opportunities and possibilities. I believe every problem has a solution. By first embracing what is, space is created for ideas and possibilities. With inspiration and creativity, much more is achievable than you might think.
- Connection: Aligning what my head thinks, my heart and gut feel, and what truly matters to me. This connection is crucial for self-awareness and for helping clients take control and make conscious choices. For many clients, this is a revelation that brings significant progress.
- Quality: Delivering the best, because that’s what clients deserve. I strive to excel in what I do and continuously learn, develop, and improve for the benefit of my clients.
About Me
From my clients, I often hear that they view me as a professional, empathetic, and warm coach who is enthusiastic, effective, and pragmatic. I am not afraid to ask confrontational questions or hold up a mirror, as this is essential for increasing awareness.
I love it when, during coaching, clients experience an “AHA” moment or when the puzzle pieces finally fall into place. Seeing my clients grow in self-awareness, confidence, and the ability to make powerful decisions inspires me every single day.
I work purposefully while also being supportive. I frequently challenge my clients to try something they’ve never done before. Many clients have shared that my coaching has brought about a transformation for them—one so impactful that they don’t wish to return to their previous state.
My roles
I play many roles in life, including wife, mother, sister, friend, daughter, coach, entrepreneur, colleague, and sparring partner. I live in Leiden with my wonderful husband and two of our three amazing sons. I find joy in reading, fitness, cycling, cooking, and sharing meals with family and friends. I also love going on (ski) vacations with my family and our closest friends.
My Journey
At the age of seven, after being hospitalized twice, I knew I wanted to become a nurse. My professional career began as a nurse and later as a cardiac care nurse. Always eager to grow and learn, I transitioned to research, studying Health Sciences while working as a project staff member at the Heart Foundation, where I also had our two eldest sons. Later, I advanced to roles as a project and program manager, positions I held for over two decades across various health organizations.
In 2013, I began working independently as a project and program manager while also starting my Co-Active coaching training. I am now an internationally certified Co-Active Coach (CPCC) with years of experience, having coached hundreds of clients and logged over 2,000 coaching hours. Over time, I’ve completed numerous training programs and certifications in leadership and team development. Between 2015 and 2016, I attended the intensive Co-Active Leadership Program in Sitges, Spain. Additionally, I was trained as a team coach by CRR Global and am a certified Leadership Circle Practitioner.

Certified coach
Coaching is an unregulated profession where anyone can call themselves a coach. I believe it’s essential that clients can trust they are working with someone skilled and knowledgeable.
This is why I’ve pursued various accredited certification programs and am accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) at the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) level.

What This Means for Clients:
- Adherence to the ICF Ethical Code of Conduct, ensuring privacy and clarity of interests.
- Complaints about my coaching can be addressed to the ICF’s independent complaints commission.
- Continuous professional development through accredited training, peer review, and reading professional literature.
- Recognition on the ICF website, where clients can verify my credentials.
Collaboration
I collaborate with a network of fellow coaches and trainers, as well as coaching agencies. Working together on team coaching and training is incredibly enjoyable, inspiring, and meaningful. I am also part of various peer supervision groups to learn from one another and strengthen each other.

My Volunteer Work
As a trainer and volunteer, I have been involved with the Global Dreamweb Foundation. Together with Annette Lechner, Yvonne Daher, Anne-Marie Lawrence, and trainee trainers in Lebanon, we developed training materials for the leadership program aimed at young Lebanese and Syrian girls and women in Lebanon. Alongside Annette, Yvonne, and Anne-Marie, I conducted workshops in Lebanon and trained the women to help them move forward. Together with local people and organizations, we assessed what was possible and needed.
The situation in Lebanon is dire due to the collapsed economy, the enormous refugee crisis, high unemployment, and wars in the region and surrounding areas. It is incredibly challenging for women to develop themselves and build their own livelihoods. It was immensely rewarding to work with all these wonderful and talented women and girls, helping them gain confidence and witnessing how they came out of their shells while working hard to become independent and entrepreneurial.
I personally funded my trips to and stays in Lebanon.
From 2017 to 2019, I volunteered with the Bakboord Foundation in The Hague. My role was to support individuals after incarceration in finding work and/or education and rebuilding their lives.
In the early 2000s, I served on the board of the Dutch Association for Cardiovascular Nurses (NVHVV) for several years. Under my leadership, the first edition of their now-annual CarVasZ conference was organized in collaboration with a program team.
